About Dream Big

  我在香港土生土長，從小就懷抱著一個到日本留學的夢想。國中時期開始為這個目標努力，高中畢業後終於如願踏上日本求學之路。學成歸來後，我順利找到理想的工作，不僅在職場上發揮語言專長，也在多所學校擔任日語教師。
目前我在線上與實體課程中，協助來自不同背景的學生學習日語，實現我童年時那個「語言連結世界」的小小夢想。有的學生在完成課程後成功考上日本的大學，有的媽媽則利用在家時間學習日語，旅遊時能自信與當地人交流，也有學生在退休後勇敢前往日本學習烘焙、開設咖啡廳——不論夢想大小，我都希望能在他們的旅程中，扮演助力的角色。
婚後隨家庭移居海外，也讓我更深刻體會到與孩子以廣東話溝通的重要性。我非常理解每一位希望孩子能保有母語文化的家長心情。某年暑假，我開始親自教授孩子們廣東話，透過輕鬆、互動的方式，讓語言學習變得自然有趣，那年他們的廣東話進步顯著。
許多媽媽常問我：「如果一週只有一堂課，家裡也不常說廣東話，這樣真的有用嗎？」我總是這樣回答：「每個孩子的進步幅度不同，但若完全沒有接觸，那與語言的距離只會越來越遠。」
每當看到孩子們上完課後聽力提升、開始願意開口說廣東話時，那份「語言傳承」的感動總是深深打動我——這不只是語言的學習，更是家庭連結與文化延續的力量。
也有許多成人學習廣東話，是希望更了解父母或伴侶的文化背景。正是這些故事與動力，讓我更堅定地推廣廣東話教育。我們希望透過教學，讓更多人重新找回語言與情感的連結，把這份愛與文化一代代傳承下去。

I was born and raised in Hong Kong, and from a young age, I dreamed of studying in Japan. After graduating from high school, I was fortunate to turn that dream into reality. Upon returning from my studies, I began my career in language education, combining my personal experiences with professional teaching to help students master Japanese and begin their own international journeys.
Over the years, I’ve supported many students—both online and in person—in reaching their goals: some have been accepted into universities in Japan, others have gained confidence to communicate during their travels, and a few have even pursued their dreams post-retirement, opening cafés in Japan. Language is a bridge that connects us to the world, and I’m honored to guide my students along that path.
After getting married and moving abroad with my family, I began to realize the importance of preserving our mother tongue. Wanting my own children to learn Cantonese, I designed fun and engaging lessons that made language learning a joyful part of our family life. While many parents worry that one lesson a week may not be enough, I’ve found that consistent exposure—no matter how small—helps children stay connected to both language and culture.
Today, I’m dedicated to teaching both Cantonese and Japanese. Whether you're a child or an adult, a beginner or someone with prior experience, there's a space here for your learning journey. I look forward to exploring new possibilities with you through language—and passing on culture, dreams, and love from one generation to the next.
